Dallas Arboretum

We went with Holly and Stephanie to the Dallas Arboretum today. The weather ended up being great. It was overcast, in the low, 80s and we had a nice breeze. The kids ran just about every where, it was great. :-)
Acting Silly For The Camera

Crawling around the flowers at the front.

The Goldfish Pond

This is a giant fountain with walls of water coming down. They look miserable don't they?

More pics at the fish pond. Caleb is very tired of having his picture taken.

Deer Statues

Dress Up

Yesterday Alison and Dyson came over to play. Fun was had by all.

Being a Power Ranger works up an appetite!

Her MajestyNeeless to say, this brings back memories of Caleb. I'm so very fond of little boys lying down to play with trains.

Water baby

Caleb and Jessica are taking swimming lessons right now. Jessica has really gotten into them. She now spends her bath time on her back. Thanks to Alison who showed her to lay back to wash her hair, Jessica has no problem putting her ears in the water!

New boat!!!

We have a new baby! Yesterday we bought a Sea-Doo Sportster. It's small but perfect for our family of four. The kids love it. We can't wait to take it out!

Dancing Queen

I don't have any pictures of this but...It was so cute this morning. The kids and I were up early and Marc got to sleep in (he worked until 11:30 last night). When he got up he came into the playroom with us and sat down on the couch. Immediately Jessica brought him his guitar so he could play for us. Apparently she needed some music so she could dance. She spun around in a circle for the entire length of Big Rock Candy Mountain. It was really sweet.

4th of July

For the 4th of July we went to visit family. My parents are members of a boat club and live near the bay. We get to enjoy a fireworks display over the water, with no crowds, and no traffic. It's great. Both kids complained the "booms" were too loud but loved the colors.

Jessica playing at my parents' house. She found the floats my mom had blown up for us to use while swimming. My mom found a pair of old Bacardi Rum sunglasses. My dad insists they are collector items.

The Houston Yacht Club

They had rented a bounce house for the kids and put it on the lawn. Caleb loved it. Later in the afternoon a bunch of older kids got in too. They let Caleb jump around with them and wrestle a bit.

The Fireworks Show

My little fishes.

On Saturday we hooked up the hose in my parents' backyard and let the kids run around. They both had a great time. We got to just sit there and be lazy.

Just playing around with the camera.

Occasionally
Marc takes the camera and snaps a pic of me. It's proof to the kids that I was there.

Jessica's Birthday

Jessica celebrated her 2nd birthday last month. She had a joint party with her friend Dyson, born just 3 days after her. We rented a bounce house, filled up the sandbox, and turned the kids loose in the backyard. Jessica and Dyson had a great time playing with all their friends, jumping, opening presents and of course eating cake. (click on the pictures to make them bigger)

The Bounce House

Jessica takes lessons on
how to wrestle big brother.

Cake Time

Jessica was so excited about everyone in the room she didn't understand to blow out the candles. Big brother came to the rescue.

Dyson understood exactly what to do to get a piece!
