For the first half of Spring Break we went camping with friends at Lake Ray Roberts. It is just north of Denton. Marc and I enjoyed hanging out with our friends and the kids enjoyed getting dirty with theirs.
Jessica's school put together a performance for the parents this weekend. They sang several songs, did a dance, Caleb played a piano piece, and two of the after-school girls did a traditional Indian dance.
Jessica cried for mommy during most of the performance.
Receiving a trophy at the end helped.
The two girls that danced at the end. It was a beautiful dance with gorgeous costumes.
Caleb's Cub Scout Pack had their Pinewood Derby yesterday. Caleb drew a picture of what he wanted and Marc helped him make it. He won an award for Best Workmanship.
Jessica has come up with some funny sayings over the last couple of years. My absolute favorite came last week. "Hang on, I got the concentrate of it." We are always telling her she's "getting the hang of it" and to "concentrate, you'll get it." I love the melding of these and the way her brain works!
Caleb's recital was at the Eismann Center For The Performing Arts yesterday. He practiced every morning and went to 6 rehearsals to prepare. He did an amazing job and we are so very proud of him!
