Christmas Program

Jessica was Mary for the Christmas program this year. She didn't have a speaking part but was on the stage for the entire show. She did so great!

Okay, maybe she got a little bored towards the end.

Happy Halloween

Here are the kids in costume. They made pumpkins, bats and other Halloween decorations out of construction paper. We hung them in the bushes along with spiderwebs. The kids drew faces on the pumpkins and Marc carved them. He then took them down one street for Trick-or-Treating. Our neighborhood doesn't get many Trick-or-Treaters so they got tons of really good candy because the people were so excited to have them! One house was giving out Giardehli Mint White Chocolate squares, yum.

Caleb starts Karate

Caleb has been on a waiting list for the Karate program at our church for a year now. He finally got in a couple of weeks ago. He looks so handsome in his Gi and gear.

Caleb's First Day of Kindergarten

Monday was Caleb's first day in Elementary. He did great! He says his teacher is nice and he seems to like her. He is so tired when I pick him up that I don't get much out of him. He has been kind enough to tell me ALL about the video game they get to play about the alphabet called A to Zap.

Today I went through the carpool line and dropped him off. He was so excited to walk into the school all by himself. When I asked him if he was ok with it he said "Oh yeah! That would be cool." What an independent little boy. He rocks!

Sea World

We went to watch a 3-D movie one morning. It turned out to be way too scary for our kids and left after just a couple of minutes. Next time when they warn us it might be too scary for small children we'll leave!

Jessica wanted to ride the smallest roller coaster in the park. She got a little scared a couple of times but was so excited when it was over she was giggling.

Caleb isn't much of a roller coaster rider but he couldn't wait to try the Rio Loco. He loved it and we had to go back and ride it again on our last day.

We fed the dolphins while the kids watched. Caleb warmed up to them and petted one on the head. Jessica was so excited but wouldn't touch them.

We rented a stroller each day to around the park, it's huge! Most of the time the kids got along and were glad they weren't walking. Here they are pretending to fight so I would stop taking pictures.

2009 Vacation

For our vacation we spent 2 days at Sea World, 2 days at Schlitterbahn, and 2 days in Austin. Everyone agrees Schlitterbahn was the best. The whole family had a blast and can't wait to go back!
